Light a Lantern is a trading name of Tickle Me Ltd and we specialise in exciting and innovative party, lantern and light related products.

We started trading in July 2007, supplying white Chinese sky lanterns through our website.  This soon developed into an extensive range of colours and designs including red heart sky lanterns and boxes of mixed coloured sky lanterns.  In 2008 we extended our range to include LED tea lights and long burning tea lights and developed a range of heart shaped and dot candle lanterns and floating water lanterns.

We then saw the opportunity to expand our range by becoming a distributor for a number of party brands, broadening our offer to our customers.  These new products included the very successful “glow in the dark” illoom balloons, which is a latex balloon that contains a battery powered light lasting for up to 15 hours and wall-friendly Party Genies sticky hangers, which are perfect for hanging balloons, party decorations and cards on a wall or a ceiling without damaging the surface.

We have now extended our core range to include a wide range of colours, sizes and designs of Chinese paper hanging lanterns and tissue pom poms; and Floralytes that can be used to illuminate our paper lanterns.

More recently we have been working with Giftmate, a company that produces a simple wrapping solution for gifts and presents that removes the need for sticky tape and scissors; and Orange Elephant – a fantastic, odourless and non-toxic alternative to Play-Doh or modelling clay which air dries in 24 hours.

We continue to expand our range each month and now offer over 200 products to suit all indoor and outdoor occasions.  Whatever your event, we are certain we have something in store for you, whether you are planning a wedding or organising a birthday party.
